Coffee Mate launches Plant-based Creamer

Recently, the world’s leading dairy company Nestlé unveiled a plant-based variety of their well-acclaimed coffee creamer brand- Coffee Mate. The two flavor options are French Vanilla and Caramel.

This launch was in association with a global coffee giant- Starbucks. The two companies have previously collaborated in 2020, to launch two non-dairy caramel and hazelnut-flavored coffee creamers.

Leonardo Aizpuru Nestlé senior director of brand marketing commented, “As creamer fans continue to seek variety, both in flavor and ingredients, it was only natural for Coffee Mate to step into the plant space”.

It will be available at Walmart beginning in October. It will later be available at other retailers from January 2023.

Who will benefit from the launch?

– Those who have a lactose-intolerance.

– Vegans.

– Those wanting to try a plant-based creamer.

– Those who want to maintain a healthy weight.

About the two products:

– Are a mix of almond and oat milk.

– Come in two flavors: French Vanilla and Caramel.

Natural Bliss venture:

In 2017, Nestlé launched a line of almond and coconut milk, under their Natural Bliss line. However, they now have expanded to feature oat and cashew-based milk options as well.

Plant-based coffee creamers are reported to be consumed by 15% of consumers. This caused the company to venture into the plant-based creamer market. It is the first time in 50 years that the company has created a product.

The plant-based market is only increasing and will continue to do so in the future. Ensuring coffee drinkers have a plant-based creamer choice from their trusted brand, will be beneficial to Nestlé Coffee Mate.
